Assigning Service Packages
You can assign service packages to selected users or to all users in the organization.
To assign service packages to users from the Search Result - Users window or Users page, select users and then click Assign Service Package.
The Assign Service Packages window is displayed.
Within the Assign Service Packages window you can:
Assign Service Packages to Selected Users
- Select users from the Search Result - Users window to be assigned a service package
- Click Assign Service Package. The Assign Service Packages window lists the service packages allocated to the organization.You can once again search for Service Packages by Name, Service Package, Job Title, Department, or Email Address by selecting the search criteria from the drop-down list and clicking Search.
Service packages matching the search criteria are displayed in the table. You can further refine the list by selecting a Filter option from the drop-down list. The Filter options available are: All, IMAP Access, IMAP SSL Access, POP Access, Pop SSL Access.
- Select service packages from the list and enter the quantity of service packages to be assigned to the users in the organization.
- Click Assign Service Package.
Search for Users and Assign Service Packages
- Select the search criteria from the Search drop-down list, in the Users page. You can Search for Users by Name, City, State, Service Package, Job Title, Department, and Email Address.
- Enter the value to be searched in the text field.
You can enter wild card characters such as *, ? in the text field to represent one or more characters when you are searching for users. For example, if you are looking for a name that you know starts with “jay” but you cannot remember the rest of the name, type “jay*” in the text field to locate all users that begin with “jay.” Use the question mark to substitute for a single character in a name. For example, if you type ja?s, all users matching ja and s such as jais, jays, and so on will be displayed.
- Click Search. The list of users matching the search criteria are displayed in the table. The table can be customized to display a specific number of users in the Table Preferences - Users window.

The arrow in the header of the column indicates the order in which the organizations are sorted. The direction of the arrow shows whether it is an ascending (up arrow) or descending (down arrow) sort. Click the arrows in the header to reverse the order of the sorted names.
- Select the users from the list and click Assign Service Package.
- The Assign Service Packages window appears. You can select the service packages listed in this window and assign them to the selected users or search for specific service packages and then assign them to the selected users.
- Click Assign Service Package.
View Service Package Details
You can view a service package’s details before selecting and assigning it.
To view service package details, select a service package from the list and then click View/Compare.
The service package details, such as Service Packages Name, Mail Quota, Max Mail Box KB, and Max Messages are displayed.
Compare Service Package Details
The compare option enables you to compare the properties of the selected service packages before deciding on the service package to be assigned to users in an organization.
To compare service package details,
- Select multiple Service packages from the list and click View/Compare.
A comparative view of the service packages including their property details such as Mail Quota, IMAP Access, IMAP SSL Access, POP Access, POP SSL Access, Attachment Size Limit are displayed.
- Click Close to exit the Compare Service Packages page.
